Some of my work is inspired by films and television programmes which made a lasting impression on me. For example, my novella The Ensnaring of Susan contains elements inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (Susan's transformation to "April") and Carry On Screaming (the mannequin factory scene).
That's a truly marvellous and bizarre combination- "Carry On Up The Bell Tower"... next up, "Carry On Dressing As Your Dead Mother".
